Lots of great ideas for a tasty Memorial Day brunch. I shared on my FB page. Personally, I want to make the Chocolate Espresso Smoothie. Chocolate and coffee together? I am so there!

Thanks for including my bacon, egg and asparagus salad in your brunch picks. It all sounds great. I brought a little different perspective this week on spring and what it means. I hope you like this addition. Have a good week!

Your brunch collection will come in so handy this weekend. The kids love to help with weekend breakfasts, and it almost always becomes “brunch.”

Today I shared a couple of posts. This first is a version of a no bake cookies using sucanat, and enough flaxseed meal for about a teaspoon per cookie. I call them Omega No-Bakes.

Next is a post I wrote about how to find clothing for the family that is earth-and-people friendly. “Go Sweatshop Free!” does have some online store links, but I have no affiliate status and received no swag. It took me months (so far) and I’d like to share my ideas.

Thank you for hosting, and have a great week!

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
