Cantaloupe and Cucumber Fruit Infused Water- Infusing fruit is a natural and easy way to flavor your water. This recipe uses fresh cantaloupe and cucumber.

Summer months bring out tons of great fruit infused water flavors, and one of our favorites is the simple Cantaloupe And Cucumber Fruit Infused Water.  These flavors compliment each other wonderfully. They are light, crisp, and of course, delicious.  If you are looking for a low-calorie flavored beverage, try this fruit infused water recipe!

Keeping a pitcher of fruit infused water in your refrigerator is a great way to encourage everyone in the family to drink more water. In fact, it is one of the easiest ways to get more water into your routine without feeling water logged or adding those sweetener laden flavorings to your drinks.  I love the addition of cantaloupe and cucumber since they are such an affordable combination and they offer that bright and crisp flavor I like.

Ingredients:

  • 1 large cucumber
  • 1/2 large cantaloupe
  • 3 cups of chilled water
  • 1 cup ice

Directions:

  1. Wash the outside of the cucumber and rinse well.
  2. Slice cucumber into 1/4 inch slices, leaving the skin on. Set aside.
  3. With a melon ball scooper, scoop out melon balls from the cantaloupe.
  4. Add all of the ingredients into a carafe/pitcher and serve.

You can add this Cantaloupe and Cucumber Fruit Infused Water to any pitcher you prefer or to a Infuser Water Bottle if you will be on the go.  Just drop a few pieces of each into the fruit infusion tube and take it with you to the gym, to run errands, or even when traveling.

In fact, this is another great idea for travel.  Before you head out on a road trip, cut some cucumber and cantaloupe into small pieces that can easily fit into water bottles.  Freeze those pieces then portion into baggies and add to your cooler filled with ice.  You can use them to both keep your water bottles cold, as well as for a snack once you drink the water!  Such a great and easy way to stay healthy on the road!Cantaloupe and Cucumber Fruit Infused Water- Infusing fruit is a natural and easy way to flavor your water. Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
