When it is time to make my Cranberry and Sugar Plum Ice Ring I know the holidays are almost here. Which begs the question: where has the year gone? It is hard to believe that the major year-end holidays are nearly here! Pretty soon we’ll have more food on the dining room table than we’ll know what to do with. And with the table set with so much beautiful food, you will need something cold and yummy to wash it all down. Check out this recipe, so your punch bowl will look as spectacular as the rest of dishes on the table.

And don’t go thinking this a hard recipe to make. Nothing could be further from the truth, because with a few straight forward ingredients you can pull this off easy peasy!

Cranberry and Sugar Plum Ice Ring

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup whole cranberries
  • 2 -3 springs of rosemary
  • 2 – 3 ripe plums
  • 6 cups water
  • 1 bundt cake pan

Directions:

1. In a bowl add water and sugar, stir until the sugar is dissolved.
2. Pour the sugar water mixture into the Bundt cake pan.
3. Add whole cranberries and sprigs of rosemary.
3. Place the bundt cake pan into the freezer section for 45-minutes.
4. Remove from the freezer and add the slices of sugared plums.Cranberry and Sugar Plum Ice Ring- add ingredients to bundt cake pan

5. Return to freezer and remove after two hours. This ice ring can be made a day or two ahead.
6. Add the ice ring to your punch bowl and serve with your favorite holiday punch.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
