Homemade Pizza Dough Recipe
Use this recipe to learn how to make a pizza with homemade pizza dough. This pizza dough recipe makes one 10-12 inch pizza crust.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour, divided
- 1 packet, 0.25 ounce, fast-rising instant yeast (or 1 tablespoon)
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2/3 cup warm water (105-110 degrees F)
Directions:
1. In a mixing bowl, add 1 cup or flour (reserving the rest for step 3), sugar, salt and yeast.

2. Mix well.
3. Add the water and mix until the dough is sticky.

4. Add remaining reserved flour and toss to coat.

5. Knead dough about 15-20 times or until you have a ball formed.

6. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise for 15 minutes.
7. Remove from bowl and spread onto a lightly greased pizza stone or pan creating a 10-12 inch pizza.

9. Bake at 450 degrees F for 8-12 minutes or until cheese is melted and begins to brown.
