Quick and Easy Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer Rice Krispie Treats Recipe for Christmas

These Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer Rice Krispie Treats are easy to make. They make a fun holiday treat for kids and add a festive touch to the dessert table at parties.

You can make them using a batch of  this homemade Rice Krispie Treats recipe or using packages of

Reindeer Rice Krispie Treats

Ingredients:

  • a batch of  Rice Krispie Treats recipe or 8 count package of Kellogg’s Rice Krispie Treats
  • 10-ounce package of Wilton chocolate candy melts
  • 10-ounce package of Wilton peanut butter candy melts
  • 8 red M&M candies (you could also use red Sixlets)
  • 16 large candy eyes
  • 16 small pretzel twists

You will also need:

8 popsicle sticks

Directions:

1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Follow the directions on this Rice Krispie Treats recipe, chill, then cut into rectangles or open the 8 Kellogg’s Rice Krispie Treats and discard the wrappers.

3. Insert a popsicle stick into the base of each rectangle Rice Krispie Treat.

4. Place the treats on the plate and set in the fridge for 15 minutes.

5. Pour the Wilton chocolate candy melts into a microwave-safe dish. Heat in the microwave in 30-second increments stirring occasionally until melted.

6. Remove the melted chocolate from the microwave and dip each Rice Krispie treat. Use a spoon to carefully coat each treat and allow the access chocolate to drip back into the bowl.

7. Place the chocolate covered treat on the lined baking sheet.

8. Give the reindeer 2 large candy eyes, 2 antlers using the small pretzel twists.

9. Add a nose using 1 peanut butter candy melt. Put a small amount of chocolate on the back of the red M&M candy and then on top of the peanut butter candy melt for the reindeer’s nose.

10. Repeat with all 8 rectangle Rice Krispie Treats.
