Santa Hat Cinnamon Rolls

Santa Hat Cinnamon Rolls are the perfect treat for a busy Christmas morning!

Surprise the family with a Christmas breakfast with these adorable Santa Hat Cinnamon rolls. Quick & easy recipe using refrigerated dough.

Turn simple canned cinnamon rolls into Santa Hat Cinnamon Rolls in just a few easy steps to surprise your family to a sweet Christmas themed treat.  While this type of breakfast isnt the Grab a can of cinnamon rolls and let’s get to creating these tasty treats that everyone will be happy to devour.

Santa Hat Cinnamon Rolls Recipe

Ingredients:

  • (1) 8-10 count package of cinnamon rolls, any brand
  • Red food coloring
  • Mini marshmallows, cut in half

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Open the package of cinnamon rolls and discard the packaging.
  3. Carefully unroll each cinnamon roll and then gently zig-zag them back and forth so they resemble an upside down triangle. Repeat with all the cinnamon rolls. santa hat cinnamon rolls on pan
  4. Place the cinnamon rolls 2-3″ apart on a baking sheet.
  5. Bake 12-14 minutes.
  6. Remove from the oven.
  7. Add a few drops of red food coloring to the icing that came with the cinnamon rolls and stir to combine.

  9. Place 1 of the mini marshmallow halves on the top of the Santa Hat and then 5-6 mini marshmallow halves on the bottom of the cinnamon roll for the rim of Santa’s Hat.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
