I came here looking for a recipe for my leftover steak but I didn’t find anything that really fit my tastebuds for tonight. I did, however, find a simple recipe elsewhere that I’m gonna end up trying tonight and I’d like to share it with you!!
“I cut the cooked steak (or leftover roast) up in to bite size pieces and slice some taters. Fry the taters in shortening in a large skillet sprinkling them with garlic salt to your liking on each side while they’re cooking. Once the taters are cooked and lightly browned, drain the shortening, add the steak, add just a tiny bit more garlic salt, stir and turn all until steak is warm. Quick, easy and yummy 🙂 “

Yum! I like your ideas for leftover steak. I use up leftover steak in fajitas, nachos, or chili. (Can you tell I really like Mexican food?!)

We have leftover steak often. It’s actually pretty cheap at our tiny local store. A store where everything is expensive, but not the meat…. I don’t get it. lol Anyway, about a week ago I added it to scrambled eggs with mushrooms, asparagus, and then added a tiny bit of cream cheese towards the end to make it creamy. It was amazing. And I’ve saved your recipes on pinterest so I can try them out next time we have steak. 🙂

I like caramelized onions and mushrooms with my steaks and had some of all left over recently. The next day I made an omelet with those ingredients and a bit of crumbled blue cheese for the filling. Fantastic!

What is leftover steak? ;). I usually only cook 4 ounces of steak each as my husband doesn’t really go for leftover steak. However in the past I’ve used steak on salads (favorite) or used steak instead of chicken on a BBQ Steak tortilla pizza.
PS the Fiesta Steak and Pasta Salad looks delicious!
