This Honey and Lavender Night Cream tutorial uses natural ingredients.

How to Make Homemade Honey and Lavender Night Cream: A DIY night cream recipe that uses honey, lavender, and frankincense to hydrate your skin as you sleep.

This Homemade Honey and Lavender Night Cream hydrates your skin as your face drinks in its benefits.  I researched the best natural ingredients for skin care and came up with this mixture. The combination of argan oil and coconut oil moisturizes as it nourishes your skin.  Honey adds moisture as well as antimicrobial benefits. Lavender soothes your skin, and the scent can be calming and relaxing, helping you sleep better so that you wake up refreshed. Even in ancient days, they knew of the benefits of Frankincense as an astringent.  I am not a doctor or aesthetician but several years of research and experimenting on myself have educated me on the wonderful benefits of natural products for your skin. I would recommend this for normal to dry skin, and remember a little bit goes a long way.

DIY Honey and Lavender Night Cream Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Argan oil
  • 1 teaspoon beeswax
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon raw honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon vitamin E oil
  • 5 drops lavender essential oil
  • 5 drops frankincense essential oil

Directions:

1. Place your olive oil, argan oil, and small pieces of beeswax in a heat-safe bowl.

2. Heat in 30-second increments, stirring each time until melted.

3. Allow to cool for 2-3 minutes, then stir in the honey, vitamin E, lavender, and frankincense.

4. Transfer the mixture to a small container with a tight-fitting lid. ( I use a 4 oz. jelly mason jar to store mine). Store the cream at moderate room temperature for a soft cream. If it gets overly warm, the mixture will liquefy. It is still good, just pop in the fridge to firm up a bit.

This Night Cream will last 3-4 months.

How to Use Homemade Night Cream

Dab two fingers into the cream. Work into your skin using a gentle upward motion.

I’m allergic to argan oil, can I replace it with coconut oil instead?

Hi, I tried the recipe as written. My issue is that my beeswax did not mix in like in your picture. Mine is in clumps. Any suggestions to remedy it? Yes I did melt it thoroughly in the oils.

Hi, what olive oil did you use? But in from the food section or drug store cosmetic grade?

I love my essential oils and I am always looking for recipes to make with them. Thank you for this one. Also thank for linking up on the #HomeMattersParty this week and I hope you will come back and share again.

This sounds great! I have my own recipe for a similar night cream but my jar’s almost out. I don’t have access to all these fancy oils, but I’m sure the base of the recipe would be just fine with me. Thank you for sharing!

I am going to try this cream, but did not see honey listed as an ingredient. (I read it 3 times. Is there supposed to be honey or did you just give it a “fancy” name? Also do you think some vitamin C could be added? Thank you.

I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
