I don’t have a real kitchen, nor the energy I had when I was younger, so super-easy recipes are what I need to move my menu above eating out of a can. How embarrassing.

No bake cookies – an old favorite at our house! We like to make fruit ice creams with frozen bananas, strawberries, or peaches. So unbelievably good!

We had the floats; and the next day, the men in my family couldn't resist polishing off the bottle of root beer! So for round two tonight, I resorted to Pepsi floats. Just as good!

Rebecca- I forgot about rootbeer floats. We haven't had one in long time; it will make a fun treat this weekend. I am definitely going to be calling the cereal treats Puppy Chow from now on. 😀

root beer floats! A gallon of vanilla ice cream and two-liter bottle of Mug root beer was purchased today, and I really doubt it if I can put off having them for a few days…tonight will be the night!

And, I have seen your chocolate cereal treats called Puppy Chow…might go over well with Rew in the years to come.

This is an all-time favorite of my family. Both my teenagers make these when there is "nothing in the house." They are a cross between a cookie and candy and yours look yummy! Joni

    Hi Alea 🙂
I read the comment you had left on Lisa's 'Tempt My Tummy Tuesday's' and had to come see what No-bake dessert you were talking about. We are doing a series of no-bake desserts on our blog, so wanted to compare 😉

Back when our "boys" were in school, I made lighter shade of the no-bake cookies into spiders when the pre-school class was studying spiders. Used chow mein noodles for the legs, mini choc. chips for the eyes – they turned out better than hoped for!!! chuckle, chuckle. fun memories!

Your timing is perfect: we're having company next week, and I was hoping to find a dessert that doesn't require baking!

I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget.
