Spiced Ginger Pear Popsicles- This ginger and pear popsicle recipe is dairy-free and sugar-free. Adults and kids alike are sure to enjoy this summer treat.

Whenever I am whipping up a batch of popsicles for the kids I have to make a batch for myself as well. Inevitably they dig into mine even with the “adult” flavor combinations I prefer, but that’s okay. I like the fact that we both get to enjoy a tasty treat that feels indulgent but is pretty healthy overall. These Spiced Ginger Pear Popsicles are creamy and loaded up with yummy flavors that grown ups and kids will both love. Oh yeah, they happen to be dairy free, gluten free, and processed sugar free too, so go ahead and enjoy!

Spiced Ginger Pear Popsicles

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 2 pears
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/2 tsp. ginger paste
  • 2 T. honey

Spiced Ginger Pear Popsicles- ingredientsDirections:

  1. Peel and rough chop pears.
  2. Combine all ingredients in a blender or food processor and mix until well combined. You can also smash up pears well with a potato masher and whisk everything together.Spiced Ginger Pear Popsicles- mixing ingredients
  3. My favorite milk to get the texture of a creamy popsicle is canned coconut milk, but carton coconut milk will do. If you do not care for coconut milk you can use almond or cashew milk instead.
  4. Pour pureed mixture into 6 popsicle molds and freeze until solid or overnight for best results.

If you wish to lighten up your pear popsicles a little bit more, simply omit honey or just use less. You can also swap in your favorite sweetener- sugar, agave, or xylitol.

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
