Every hostess has their weaknesses and their strengths. My weakness is that my game plan usually falls apart somewhere between dinner and dessert and coffee. I make dessert ahead of time and I even have the coffee prepped, but I get lost in conversation during dinner and forget to actually make the coffee. Every.single.time. Fortunately, I have awesome friends who remind me when I forget to make the coffee and don’t mind pitching in to help get me back on track. I have forgotten to make the coffee so many times that one of the first things I say to my friends Marc and Colleen when they walk in the door is, “Remind me to make the coffee!”
I was thrilled to receive a Keurig which has the ability to brew both a single cup and a four-cup carafe of coffee. It will allow my husband and I to make a pot of coffee to share while still allowing my kids to make an individual cup of tea or hot cocoa.
Easy Coffee Bar Idea
Confession: I am really excited about the fact that I can now set up a coffee bar and put my friends in charge of making their own coffee and tea at dinner parties. Remembering to make the coffee is no longer my responsibility when entertaining! Ha!
You can set up a simple coffee bar wherever you have a little unused space in your kitchen or dining room such as a counter, buffet, or a small table pushed against a wall. The bar doesn’t need to be fancy, just put out the basics. I place a basket of Keurig coffee cups, the coffee maker, cups and saucers, spoons, and a choice of homemade creamers. I put the creamer in small milk jars that have lids, and add labels. The creamer can be made a day or two in advance and stored in the refrigerator until you are ready to set up your coffee bar.
When my daughter came home on college break, I asked her what coffee she wanted to try first and without hesitation she said Hazelnut. I decided to make Homemade Hazelnut Coffee Creamer to go with her coffee. Since I had never had hazelnut creamer before, my daughter served as my taste tester and let me know when it was perfect. My husband and I decided we needed to give Hazelnut Creamer a try to see what all the hoopla was about and discovered a new favorite creamer!

So, I have to use sweetened condensed milk? I want to make it sugar free. How do I go about making it sugar free. What kind of milk do I use in place of the condensed milk?
Robert Florin says
All Creamers have GMO, we used Coffee mate and found out that all store bought creamers have GMO.
Sandy says
How would you make it sugar free
Joker says
Use sugar-free milk and use stevia to sweeten coffee
Sophia, says
I make cinnamon and vanilla coffee creamer but I buy a bottle of Cinnamon and a bottle of French vanilla syrups from Torani.com they last for months and just put about a quarter cup of cinnamon to half a cup of French vanilla in a jug add maybe half a can of condensed milk stir well and top up to 32ozs with lactose free milk keeps in the fridge for couple of weeks
I also add a little to icing sugar and drizzle over my homemade Chelsea buns or cinnamon roll….delicious!

Thank you for these recipies. I love the store bought creamers but always think about the oil in them as I’m using them. I’ve run out and won’t be buying them again thanks to you!
Sosie says
How long would this keep for?
Eugene Fackler says
Can you just use half n half for both milks? then add syrup?
Alea Milham says
I don’t think it would taste as good. Sweetened condensed milk is sweetened, half n half is not. I can not recommend a ratio of syrup to half n half without creating a new recipe. Also using syrup and half n half would be more expensive than this recipe.
