Raspberry season is here! This makes me super excited because I love berry season. Here in the Pacific Northwest, berries are very expensive in the off season and they get much more reasonable in the on-season. I buy so much that I freeze them and end up with great frozen berries for use all year round. (Well, actually, they don’t last through the fall, but that’s just us!).
How to Freeze Raspberries
Raspberries can be frozen very easily, but should be frozen before they get too ripe as it makes it harder for them to hold their shape if you wait too long. These delicate berries are best frozen by placing them in a single row on a sheet of wax paper placed on a jelly roll pan in the freezer for an hour or two. When they are frozen, transfer them to a container and label them in the freezer.
