Strawberry Overnight Oatmeal with Variations

This easy Strawberry Overnight Oatmeal recipe has two delicious variations.

Strawberry Overnight Oatmeal with Variations- This Strawberry Overnight Oatmeal recipe is delicious on its own, but the two variations taste like a dessert!

These three Strawberry Overnight Oatmeal recipes are a great way to use fresh strawberries and are a full breakfast in a jar. The basic strawberry overnight oatmeal is delicious on its own, but the two variations taste more like dessert than breakfast. Strawberry Rhubarb Overnight Oatmeal has all of the rich flavor of a strawberry rhubarb pie, but it comes together in minutes. Strawberry Sundae Overnight Oatmeal tastes like a strawberry ice cream sundae, complete with chocolate syrup, fresh berries, and nuts.

Strawberry Overnight Oatmeal – Basic Recipe

Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup strawberry Greek yogurt
  • 1/3 vanilla almond milk (or milk of choice)
  • 4 strawberries, diced

Directions:

1. Add the rolled oats to a mason jar or another lidded container.

2. Add the yogurt and almond milk and stir thoroughly.

3. Add strawberries. Stir them in or leave them on top of the mixture.

4. Seal the container and refrigerate for 6-8 hours. Serve cold.

3. Add the strawberries and rhubarb. Stir them in or leave them on top of the mixture.

  • 2 tablespoons chopped walnuts
  • 1 tablespoon chocolate syrup or hot fudge sauce + more to taste

Strawberry Sundae Overnight Oatmeal - ingredients

Directions:

1. Add the rolled oats to a mason jar or another lidded container.

2. Add the yogurt and almond milk and stir thoroughly.

3. Add the strawberries and walnuts. Stir them in or leave them on top of the mixture.

4. Finally add chocolate syrup to taste. I recommend leaving it on top and stirring it in right before you eat the oatmeal.

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
