If it’s still chilly in your neck of the woods this pretty Strawberry White Hot Chocolate Recipe will surely warm you and your sweetheart up in a hurry.

Ice cream, candy melts,  and sugar combine to create this irresistible Strawberry White Hot Chocolate Recipe. This is the perfect way to celebrate a chilly winter afternoon.  For Valentine’s, it is a warm and sweet way to show your love (and your mad beverage skills).  Pair it with these Heart-Shaped Cinnamon Rolls for a delicious Valentine’s Day breakfast.

How to Make Strawberry White Hot Chocolate

Some strawberry hot chocolates get their flavor from pureed strawberries, and some get it from strawberry milk, but we use strawberry ice-cream to add the flavor to this hot chocolate recipe. It has a smoother texture than the puree and is sweeter than the milk.

Although we use white chocolate chips in the hot chocolate, we use traditional chocolate candy melts to coat the rim, creating a hot chocolate recipe that has the best of both chocolates.

While the chocolate rims are setting, the hot chocolate is made over the stove by heating up, white chocolate chips, strawberry ice-cream, sugar, butter, and water.

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
