Arctic Adventure Travel Play Set

If you have been following along with the DIY Travel Play Sets we have been posting, this is the final one of the series. We have created easy tutorials for a Farm Travel Box, Construction Site Travel Box, Fairy Garden Travel Box, and now this Arctic Adventure Travel Play Set. They make 4 different, fun, and inexpensive ideas for homemade gifts. These portable play sets are perfect for Christmas gifts, birthday gifts, or just something special for a little traveler.

Arctic Adventure Travel Play Set

Materials:

latched unfinished wood case
cotton batting
white pom poms
adhesive spray
Arctic TOOB, or other arctic-themed animal figurines

Directions:

Measure your wood case and cut out the appropriate amount of cotton batting. You will need one large piece to cover the inside of the case, and a smaller free-form strip to make “snow” on the outside cover.
Cut glitter foam in the shape of a small ice pond.
Spray the inside of case and backside of batting with adhesive spray, press in place, trim excess with scissors.
Glue water to “snow” batting.
Toss in a handful of white pompoms to give an additional dimension to your snow.
