This Chocolate Peanut Butter S’mores Bark is a quick and easy dessert recipe. It’s perfect for when you want to enjoy the flavors of s’mores without lighting the grill.

My kids love s’mores, but I don’t love the mess. Since they love the flavor of the chocolate, marshmallows and graham crackers more than they like standing over a fire roasting marshmallows, I decided to combine the ingredients of s’mores to make S’mores Bark Candy. Last year when we were making s’mores we discovered that we enjoyed adding peanut butter to our graham crackers, so I decided to make this bark with both chocolate chips and peanut butter baking chips.

Note: I froze the mini marshmallows for an hour before making this S’mores Bark recipe. I found when making my Rocky Road Bark recipe and my Rocky Road Fudge recipe that the hot melted chocolate can melt the marshmallows. So if you want the marshmallows to stay intact, freeze them in advance. If you don’t mind them getting a little mushy, then use the marshmallows at room temperature.

Chocolate Peanut Butter S’mores Bark Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 12-ounce package milk chocolate or semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 10-ounce package peanut butter baking chips
  • 1 tablespoon shortening ( this is my favorite shortening)
  • 4 graham crackers, broken into small pieces (Use Smorables to make this gluten-free)
  • 1 cup marshmallows, frozen

Directions:

  1. Cover a cookie sheet with parchment paper of foil.
  2. Melt the peanut butter chips and shortening according to package directions.
  3. Melt the chocolate chips according to package directions.
  4. Alternate spooning the melted chocolate chips and melted peanut butter chips onto the cookie sheet. Spoon melted chocolate chips and melted peanut butter chips on tray lined with parchment paper or foil popular pin for S'mores Bark Recipe
  5. Then use a spatula to semi blend the two and spread it evenly over the foil.
  6. Sprinkle the frozen mini marshmallows and the broken graham cracker pieces over the melted chocolate. Press lightly so the marshmallows and graham cracker pieces are embedded in the chocolate. Top melted chocolate with mini marshmallows and broken graham crackers pieces popular pin for S'mores Bark Recipe
  7. Put the S’more Bark the freezer for 30 minutes.

This is exactly what I was looking for. My sons are having a Nerf War/Cookout/Campout/Sleepover and they wanted S’mores. I was thinking of a simpler version and this is it. I know it will be a hit. The added peanut butter adds to the gooey factor and they will love it. Thanks for the great recipe.
