If you are looking for ways to introduce the letter N to your child, here are some fun crafts, printables, recipes and activities you can try.

We are smack-dab in the middle of the alphabet in these weekly posts that teach the alphabet in fun ways using recipes, activities, crafts, printables and more! I hope you are finding plenty of inspiration for your homeschool studies with this series. Let’s look at some awesome ways to introduce your kids to the letter N!

10+ Ways to Introduce the Letter N

Crafts:

I love this Necklace craft made from straws. Alternatively, you could also do this Noodle Necklace as well from Makes and Takes which shows you how to dye noodles, too!

Do Noodle Painting like No Time for Flash Cards did. This one looks super fun and great for sensory and fine motor development, too!

Printables:

This Letter N Traceable worksheet from First School is perfect for practicing writing skills.

Boggles World has some great Letter N worksheets for coloring and tracing.

Activities:

Make it and afternoon of Noodle sensory play like The Measured Mom shows us. Doesn’t this look like a perfect excuse to get messy?

I like that this N is for Nature activity from Carrots are Orange combines outdoor exploring with a fun learning concept at the end.

Books:

The Best Nest by P.D. Eastman

Just a Nap by Mercer Mayer

Noisy Nora by Rosemary Wells

The Nose Book by Al Perkins

Recipes:

Why not make Nachos? You could do your own nacho bar and allow your kids to pick their toppings!

Make this Nectarine Smoothie from Martha Stewart for a great snack.

Welcome. I'm Alea!

On Premeditated Leftovers I share simple recipes made with whole foods, practical shopping tips, time saving techniques, and meal planning strategies. I also share tips for minimizing food waste, so more of the food that is purchased ends up on the table.

While volunteering as a budget counselor, I realized that food is the element of most people’s budgets where they have the greatest control. I set out to develop low-cost recipes from scratch to prove it’s possible to create delicious meals on a limited budget. Eating well while spending less is about more than just creating recipes using inexpensive ingredients; it’s about creatively combining ingredients so you don’t feel deprived and are inspired to stick to your budget.
